SOLAR POOL HEATING - TECHNICAL
SOLAR POOL HEATING COMPONENTS
Thermax Extreme is a pressurized solar pool water heating system has 5 main parts:
-
Optional - Special Solar Piping
Solar water heaters use the sun to heat either water or a heat-transfer fluid in the solar collector. The pumping station and controller monitor the temperature of this heating fluid and control a small pump that circulates it through the solar piping and the into an external heat exchanger which indirectly heats the mass of the pool water.

Thermax is an open loop solar pool water heating system (un-pressurized) has 5 main parts:
Existing Pool Pump and Filter
Thermax solar pool heaters use the sun to directly heat the pool water as it flows through the collectors. Unlike a pressurized system, the Thermax uses the existing pool pump to move the water directly. The solar controller monitors the temperature of the pool and the collector array and activates the 3-Way Valve to direct the flow of pool water into the solar collectors first if heat is available and required by the pool.
